Vita
Born and raised in Mönchengladbach, Verena Landgraf-Freudenreich began her career after graduating from high school with an apprenticeship as a media designer in Düsseldorf under Prof. Klaus Hesse.
Afterwards she studied visual communication at the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen. Parallel to her studies, she worked at the full-service agency Hüsch & Hüsch, which focuses on communication for social and cultural relevance. Following her studies in Aachen, she decided to pursue postgraduate studies at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, where she studied in the class of Prof. H.G. Schmitz, Prof. Dr. Gerda Breuer, Prof. Uwe Loesch and Dr. Bernhard Uske, among others.
After receiving her second degree, she held various agency positions in Wuppertal and Cologne until Landgraf-Freudenreich continued her career in Luxembourg in 2011.
Currently, she works there as „Creative Director“ and „Brand Strategist“ in one of the country’s largest agencies. Her responsibilities include the development of creative advertising concepts and development of brand identities: based on the strategies she develops, corporate designs and advertising campaigns are developed and implemented in an international team.
In 2020, Verena Landgraf-Freudenreich will successfully complete her dissertation with Prof. Dr. Cordula Meier at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. The publication of her work is planned for December 2021 by Transcript Verlag in the series Kunst- und Designwissenschaft.
